Well, What a night!
The day started off early, with the last orientation class, beginning at 8am though! After the class, we went to get our medical exam done, and find out the results of the blood test and Xrays done yesterday (forgot to mention it). I'm all clear of communicable diseases, which I would've put money on anyways.
After that came the immatriculation ceremony. I have never seen a ceremony to officially become students. It's similar to graduation ceremony. The rector, deans and vice deans are all dressed in academic regala. We're all wearing gowns and caps. Its formal, and things occur, like officially accepting us as students. Singing an old latin academic song. Then its over.
After that was the last polish class. I thought I was at the wrong time, as only one other student was here. Other people stumbled in shortly after the time deadline. And the biggest complaint from students at the university: English division students straggling in late. It went off without a problem. Found out I will not have the same Polish teacher come the course work. That's a bummer, she was great.
After Polish, we were off to the traditional Kashubian lodge for some wild boar and fold dancing. The food was great, roasted chicken, pork, and of course wild boar. The boar tasted more like beef than pork. That was a surprise. They had a lot of sides to choose from, and some fresh baked bread which was delicious.
After dinner, there was about an hour demonstration of traditional kashubian dancing. Well, let's just say not worth standing for the time. After that it turned into a disco. They were spinning beats from 1980/1990's and a bit from 2000's. Then, after a while they got into some newer stuff, not that I was complaining.
It was a great way to end a week, now to relax, because serious studying starts MONDAY!
